We are colorful and let us not take May 1st
On 1 May 2023, right-wing extremist groups held a demonstration in Ingelheim.
Why did this particularly annoy us?
This is Trade Union Day and we as trade unionists stand for democracy, freedom and tolerance.
We, a group of works councils, IGBCE trustees and colleagues from the Diversity & Inclusion network, at the largest company in Ingelheim, wanted to set an example with all democratic forces and participated in the organization of In-Rage.
The association "In-RAGE-das Ingelheimer Bündnis gegen Rassismus und Gewalt e.V." Home (in-rage.org) thankfully organized a (counter-) event that was once again peaceful and colorful and was organized with live music and speeches in the new center.
